Why 25% Does Not Mean 25% Free Amino Acids
The 25% figure is the Protein Hydrolysates component in the formulation. Free amino acids are separately measured and specified at minimum 8.5%. The technical should not be described as '25% free amino acid'.
Source / Process
The notified plant source is soybean + maize in a 5.5:4.5 ratio, with enzymatic hydrolysis using food-grade Alcalase.
How to Interpret Source, Process and the Finished Specifications
The notified plant-source and enzymatic-hydrolysis process help define what this technical is, but they do not make the 25% headline value a direct measure of free amino acids or field performance. Protein-hydrolysate reviews describe formulation response as dependent on source, hydrolysis conditions, peptide/amino-acid profile, crop and application environment.
- 25% is the Protein Hydrolysates composition requirement; it is not the free-amino-acid percentage.
- Free amino acids are separately specified at minimum 8.5%, while TOC is minimum 11%.
- Specific gravity 1.1–1.2, pH 4.3 ±1 and minimum 99.57% solubility are specification parameters. They should be checked against this technical, not turned into a universal “higher is better” ranking.
- A 25% technical should not automatically be called agronomically superior to a 16.9% technical. They are different notified formulations and should be selected by exact specification, intended programme and evidence—not the headline percentage alone.
How to Check a Product Using This Technical
- Match the exact 25% Plant Source Liquid technical.
- Check the soybean + maize source wording.
- Check minimum free amino acids, TOC, pH, specific gravity and solubility.
- Check batch identity and company traceability.
- Use batch-specific COA/test data when available.
